Meet this week's West Herr Wednesdays, Teddy & Jake, who have just recently completed our auto technician mentorship program at our Ford Hamburg location!
Teddy has been with us for a year and half and got his start at our Hamburg Quick Lane service center while he was still attending school. Teddy's love for cars started at an early age, and he has always enjoyed tinkering with them ever since he can remember. After graduating ECC with his Auto Tech degree, Teddy started working full time at our Ford Hamburg service center where he enrolled in our mentorship program. Teddy says that between the online training and the hands-on experience he received working under an experienced mentor for a year, he was able to learn so many new skills. With cars becoming more and more advanced, there is always something new to learn, and what Teddy enjoys most about the store is that everyone in the department is always willing to help out when needed. Teddy grew up in the Hamburg area, and enjoys golfing, relaxing and hanging out with friends and family in his spare time.
Jake got his start at the Quick Lane service center as well about two years ago, and his passion for working on automobiles started when he was about 13 years old, picking up some skills and tricks from his father and on his own. After moving over from Quick Lane to our regular Ford Hamburg service department, Jake enrolled in our mentorship program and worked under an experienced mentor for a year. Jake says that the move was both challenging and rewarding, and he was able to gain a great variety of skills that he would not have been able to receive without the program. What Jake enjoys most about the store is the atmosphere; everyone is like a family and it's great to work somewhere that everyone truly enjoys what they do. Jake grew up in the South Dayton area, and just enjoys relaxing at home in his spare time watching a good Netflix flick.
We are proud to have Jake & Teddy in the West Herr family and congratulate them on their completion of the mentorship program!
