This week's West Herr Wednesday is our very own Ray Ammerman! Ray is not only well known throughout the West Herr family, but within the Western New York community as well. He's a man who wears about a hundred hats and does a fabulous job doing it.

Ray joined the family in 1995 as a sales & leasing professional at West Herr Ford Hamburg. About a year later, he shifted over to the role of general manager for an impressive 16 years over at our Jaguar location. Post 2012, Ray has taken on the role of Corporate Customer Relations Manager and is always working on an array of creative tasks. In addition to spontaneous projects that go his way (known by some as the "PowerPoint Jedi"), he monitors and trains on monthly CSI scores for sales/service, gets the crowd going at our new hire orientations, and holds new owners clinics quarterly at all of our stores; which offer prizes, food and valuable information for our most recent West Herr customers. He also served as MC for our Christmas party at Shea's this past December alongside Steve Tasker and Brad Hafner.

Some fun facts about Ray: He keeps just as busy outside of West Herr; he teaches a Safe Driver Academy class monthly, and is also a part-time wedding officiant and lounge singer. Ray showed us his singing chops a few years ago, winning our West Herr Idol competition. He has a goldfish pond and now has his first set of grandfish (congrats!). He is married and has a son currently attending Buffalo State College. During the summer months, he can be found at his lake house in Chautauqua hanging out on the boat with his sidekick Bentley (a shih tzu poodle mix).

We asked Ray what he has enjoyed most about the past twenty years at West Herr, and he responded, "Having the ability to do all kinds of things that you would have never expected to do."
We'd like to thank Ray for his endless flow of creative energy and the dedication to accomplish any task, no matter how challenging. You are truly a valued member of the West Herr family!
