A few excerpts from Toyota Williamsville's profile on the Automotive News website:
General Manager, Patrick Schiske, on keeping employees engaged:
"We keep all employees engaged by utilizing cross-training to broaden their knowledge of the business and to create a greater appreciation for other's daily tasks. Each department regularly sets goals with incentives for employees. Compensation for meeting such goals ranges from gift cards of various values, sports and entertainment tickets, electronic items, etc. Encouraging everyone to become invested in the dealership's goals as a whole promotes a culture of success."
Schiske on building good relations across all departments:
"To keep business flowing effectively, it is imperative that all departments work together. We hold monthly store meetings where all employees are encouraged to attend to stay updated on the previous month's accomplishments, special events, new department goals and employee recognition. Lunch is always provided."
