J.D. Power Initial Quality awards have been presented for 2016, and Chevrolet has a particular reason to be pleased.
That's because, with awards given to the Chevrolet Equinox, Silverado HD, Silverado LD, Tahoe, and Chevrolet Spark, Chevy brought home the most vehicle awards for 2016. Each model topped their segment for highest initial quality, and this marks Chevy's fourth year in a row collecting the most J.D. Power Initial Quality awards as compared to other vehicle brands.
That's pretty good news for anyone in Western New York who's been shopping for a new Chevrolet.

What are the J.D. Power Initial Quality awards?
J.D. Power & Associates collect data year over year to track new-vehicle quality across all major automotive brands.
By tracking initial quality as reported by real owners and drivers, this independent company can provide the most accurate data for automakers looking to improve their products.
" The study, now in its 30th year, examines problems experienced by vehicle owners during the first 90 days of ownership. Initial quality is determined by the number of problems experienced per 100 vehicles (PP100), with a lower score reflecting higher quality. - JDPower.com
Chevrolet also performed well in the 2016 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study, which follows vehicle quality over a longer period of time.
