Meet Guy Schwindler!
Guy is a one of our hard-working technicians at our Buick GMC Cadillac store. He got his start in the automotive industry at Braun Cadillac, where he actually was hired by and worked with John Powers, who currently works as our Service Manager at the store. He went on to work at Jim Culligan Pontiac GMC for twenty-four years, Cappellino for about two and half years and Auction Direct for three years, where he started as a technician and then shifted into the role of service manager up until their closure in September 2014. Guy will be with West Herr two years this October.
What Guy loves most about his job and West Herr:
It's one of the best dealerships he's worked for. West Herr really invests in their employees and take care of everything they need. Between the Christmas party, summer carnival and incentives offered, the perks that the company offers their employees truly shows how much they appreciate their work. The best part of the position is being able to find a solution to a problem and that feeling of accomplishment after seeing a customer leave happy with their service.
Guy actually has quite the "West Herr" family. His wife, Christina, works at our Toyota Williamsville store as a sales & leasing professional, and his two sons, Kevin and Kyle, are working at the Chevy Williamsville store part-time while attending Niagara University. Guy enjoys spending his free time outdoors, and he can't wait until the summer so he can take his speedboat (it's beautiful, might I add) out for cruising and tubing on the water! Another interesting tidbit about Guy is that he worked on the Bruce's Automotive modified division crew for twenty years at local race tracks. Here's a neat picture one of the cars:
